DEMON CLEAVER'S SELF-TITLED EP CUTS VIOLENTLY DEEP

Written by Jordan Jongema

AN EXTREME OFFERING FROM VANCOUVER DEATH METALLERS

As wretched as having your limbs severed in front of a cult directly out of hell, Demon Cleaver couldn't have selected a better name for their wound licking onslaught. Like looking up from the pit you've been tossed in as an amputee, their recently released self-titled EP bleeds tragic and vile gloom of first-degree murder.

Throat-ripping vocalist, Daniel Brand, clearly sounds like he's came barreling into a few confession booths and turned every Preacher into red-coated dust. Instrumentally, we're given perverted riffing layered with a lead-footed skinsman whos beefy chops will make the most of us "Demons" wanting to drink this band's cool-aid. These profane gentlemen have given off a clear glimpse on their horizon of generalized misanthropy with a slight Atheist backhand.

Tracks such as, "Primordial Syndication" and "Prostitution of our Evolution", cake on the pus pooling out of the church doors, straight up infecting the listener in the most satisfying way. "Lord" carries a fist through table reflex which is accompanied by what sounds like the opening portal to hell nearing its completion. This band staples humanity's death certificate to their exposed brains while tossing their handcuffed bodies off the cliff to the underground. A must-listen for those seeking any extreme music.
